Lewis Wagner Welcomes Seven New Attorneys

Lewis Wagner is thrilled to welcome seven new attorneys to our firm.

“We are proud to see the continued growth of the Lewis Wagner team with these seven highly talented attorneys,” shares Managing Partner Dina M. Cox. “Each new addition brings varied and extensive legal experience that furthers our commitment to provide our clients with the best possible representation and service.”

Please help us warmly welcome the following:

Sonia Das Sturm joins Lewis Wagner as Senior Counsel, focusing on defending clients in asbestos-related and mass tort cases. She first joined the firm in 1999, becoming an associate and partner managing the firm’s asbestos, silica, and coal tar pitch mass tort dockets until 2013. In addition, Sonia handled general insurance defense, negligence claims, appellate practice, and environmental insurance coverage litigation.

Over the last ten years, Sonia has built a robust practice in Indiana’s mass tort litigation and workers’ compensation matters, representing employers through insurance companies and third-party administrators. Sonia actively contributes to Indiana’s legal community, having served as both chair of the Diversity Committee and as an At-Large Member of the Board of Governors for the Indiana State Bar Association. A prolific writer and speaker, Sonia frequently contributes to legal education through presentations and publications. She now returns to Lewis Wagner, bringing extensive experience and passion for client advocacy back to where her career began.

Peter M. Elliot joins as an associate, concentrating his practice on insurance coverage disputes. Following his graduation from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Peter worked as the first Lawyer-Law Clerk for the Indiana Commercial Court in Marion County. Established by the Indiana Supreme Court, this specialized court was formed to handle complex business and commercial disputes.

For eight years, Peter served a critical role at the Commercial Court, helping to evolve the court from a pilot project to a permanent docket, and handling high-stakes cases involving multimillion-dollar verdicts, precedent-setting decisions on temporary restraining orders and liquidated damages, and insurance coverage in mass tort proceedings. This experience in large-scale litigation makes Peter skilled at advising clients on insurance coverage issues and guiding them through disputes with clarity and precision.

Megan Hill joins Lewis Wagner as an associate in our labor and employment group where she assists clients in navigating a wide range of employment-related claims. Megan graduated cum laude from both Butler University in 2021 and Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2024.

While attending law school, Megan honed her skills through participating in the Indiana Health Law Review, McKinney School of Law Moot Court, and the Appellate Clinic. Outside of work, she serves as a volunteer for the Bette J. Dick Guardian ad Litem Program, advocating for children involved in legal cases across Marion County and remains actively involved in the Indianapolis Bar Association.

Kevin T. Lawrence joins the firm as Senior Counsel, specializing in business transaction, corporate services, and real estate litigation. He holds both a B.S. from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2008, making him an invaluable resource for those seeking strategic legal counsel in business-related matters.

With an extensive practice that spans business transactions, corporate services, real estate transactions, and real estate litigation, Kevin has earned a reputation for delivering results in even the most challenging matters. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of both Indiana and Minnesota.

Star Martinez joins Lewis Wagner’s litigation group as an associate attorney, concentrating on probate and trust litigation. After completing a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Texas at El Paso, Star earned her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2017.

While in law school, Star served as president of the Latinx Law Student Association and led numerous diversity and inclusion initiatives. She is active in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Indiana Public Defender’s Council, and the Indianapolis Bar Association. As her practice grows, she seeks to continue participating in inclusion initiatives, serving underrepresented communities as a passionate client advocate.

Keith Michaels joins Lewis Wagner as an Of Counsel attorney in our litigation group, centering his practice on defending professional liability and class action claims. Keith graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2019. While there, he participated in the Conservation Law Clinic. Keith is a member of both the Indiana State and Marion County Bar Associations.

A firm believer that everyone deserves effective and zealous legal representation, Keith often provides pro bono legal services to incarcerated individuals whose rights have been infringed.

Millicent Woodland joins as Senior Counsel of Lewis Wagner’s transportation practice, bringing over 18 years of experience representing business owners and insurance companies in risk mitigation to the firm. Millicent earned her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. After graduating, she was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, and in 2012, the State Bar of Texas.

Millicent particularly excels in the courtroom, where her passion for trial advocacy shines as she crafts persuasive arguments and develops compelling narratives for the jury.
