John C. Trimble Honored Among Indiana’s Most Influential Business Leaders for a Second Time

Lewis Wagner is thrilled to announce that partner John C. Trimble has been named among Indiana’s most influential business leaders for the second time in the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Indiana 250 list.

This list provides a close-up look at individuals across multiple industries, including the legal field, who are making an undeniable impact on their communities, individuals, and Indiana’s economy. Each recipient is nominated by fellow Hoosiers and ultimately chosen by IBJ Media Leadership in consultation with business and community leaders, as well as journalists from IBJ, Indiana Lawyer, and Inside Indiana Business. John was also selected to the inaugural Indiana 250 list last year.

“John’s exceptional contributions to our organization and the legal community have made such a significant and positive impact,” said Lewis Wagner Managing Partner Richard M. Blaiklock. “We congratulate him on this well-deserved honor for a second year and celebrate not only his accomplishments, but his commitment to our community.”

For more than 40 years, John has been a force within the legal industry, serving clients through complex litigation and mediation. Those efforts have been recognized across the industry, including being selected for inclusion in Indiana Super Lawyers® and ranked number one overall in Indiana from 2011-2021. He has also been named by the Defense Research Institute (DRI) as Outstanding Defense Bar Leader of the Year. In 2021, he received DRI’s distinguished Louis B. Potter Lifetime Professional Service Award, a national honor recognizing an individual exemplifying professionalism and service that fosters respect and trust among lawyers and preserves the integrity of the judicial process.

John plays an influential leadership role both at Lewis Wagner and in the Indianapolis community.  In addition to his professional achievements, John actively supports programs and activities that educate and drive discussion among the next generation of legal minds, including serving as President of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Board of Visitors Chair at I.U. Robert H. McKinney School of Law, President of the Board of the Indianapolis Legal Aid Society and Chair of DRI’s national Judicial Task Force.

Through all his accomplishments, John acknowledges his success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of his wife, Ann, and their daughters, Laura and Marie; Marie followed in her father’s footsteps and also practices law.
