Joe is an experienced litigator who represents individuals in probate and trust litigation, guardianship matters, and other estate-related disputes. Before joining Lewis Wagner & Trimble, Joe spent nearly 15 years as defense counsel for a Fortune 100 insurance carrier and later represented commercial motor carriers in complex and catastrophic injury litigation. He now brings that extensive litigation experience to probate and fiduciary matters, where careful analysis, sound judgment, and a practical approach are essential.
Joe was a four-year football letterman at Franklin College and served as Vice President and Scholarship Chair of Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity. While attending Indiana University McKinney School of Law, he completed internships with the NCAA and the Indiana Court of Appeals. Those experiences, coupled with his extensive litigation background, shaped Joe's practical and collaborative approach to representing clients. He believes that effective representation begins with understanding what matters most to the client, defining what a successful resolution looks like, and developing a strategy to achieve it.
Outside of the office, Joe enjoys traveling with his family, lifting weights, and cheering on his three daughters as a proud "volleyball dad."
